Another Book

Hi All,

We have added a second book to discuss at our next meeting.

The book is called Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal, by Christopher Moore.

Here is what the cover looks like --

Book Club update

Thanks to those who came to our meeting last Friday.  It was a  lot of fun discussing both books, in particular Bossypants, by Tina Fey!!  J

Thank you to Sarah who made the rhubarb crisp and of course the cinnamon buns only added to our afternoon of sweet treats.

One of our next titles is a YA novel called – Leonardo’s Shadow, by Christopher Grey.

We are still trying to come up with a second book, so if you have any suggestions, please feel free to see Ms. Giardina or Ms. Messinger.

Our next 2 books for Book Club and our next meeting date.

Thanks to everyone who came out to our meeting last Friday.  Great discussion and the apple crisp was good too.  It was an enjoyable time.
Our next 2 books have been chosen--

·         The first, as suggested by a book club member earlier in the year, is  an autobiography – Bossypants, by Tina Fey.  There are 3 copies available for sign-out.

·         The second is called The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern.  I have 4 copies on order and they should be available for sign-out by the end of the week.

FYI-
Both books are available for purchase at Chapters.  Bossypants is now in soft cover and The Night Circus is available in hardcover, but at a pretty good price via chapters.ca.

Also, both books are available at the public library, but you will have to place a hold in order to get one.  Although there are many holds, there are also many copies of both books.

Our next meeting date will be Friday March 23, the first Friday after the March break.

Happy reading.  J

Great book!

I just finished reading Steve Jobs, by Walter Isaacson .  Although long, I loved it!
I guess I like the fact that Steve Jobs was a strong character and lived what he believed in.  I do have a copy in the library if anyone is interested.
